CRAFT Weekly Content:

Each CRAFT session is customized to your unique situation and is interactive as we go through possible scenarios. CRAFT sessions build, one to the next, so it’s important to attend each session.

  1. Session One. Introduction to CRAFT.
  2. Session Two.  The roadmap: We explore what drives your loved one’s substance use — not to judge, but to better understand how your own responses can make a difference.
  3. Session Three. Positive communication skills.
  4. Session Four. Problem solving by analyzing given problems and coming up with the best solutions.
  5. Session Five.  Supporting clean, sober behavior with positive rewards.
  6. Session Six.   Removing rewards for substance using behaviors.
  7. Session Seven. Allowing natural consequences to take place without stepping in to "fix" things.
  8. Session Eight. Taking care of yourself, first and foremost, and that's no matter how it goes week-to-week, and month-to-month.
  9. Session Nine.  Encouraging your loved one to consider treatment — timing, tone, and tools that help the message land.
  10. Session Ten. Relapse worry and what to do and say should relapse occur.
